Letter to the 1956 Board of Trustees

Editor’s note: The Toccoa Falls College board of trustees is meeting this week on campus April 19-20, 2007. Please be in prayer for these men and women who have been called to serve the Lord in this way. We thought it would be appropriate to post a letter from Dr. Forrest written to the 1956 board members. To The Board of Trustees of Toccoa Falls Institute

My Dear Brethren:
You have heard me tell of the ten dollar bill given as a down payment on the above property know as Haddock Inn, forty-five years ago, and how the Toccoa Falls Institute was started. These pictures will give you a clearer idea as to why TFI has been called The Miracle School, and I trust they may also more fully reveal to you something of the importance and necessity for our having a Board of Trustees such as you. We are now a million dollar concern, and to God we give the glory.

However, our enlarged facilities proportionately increase our responsibilities, and we greatly need your help and your prayers as the school continues to go and grow. More important than physical assets is the fact that hundreds of young men and women have channeled into lives of useful service for God, and we are looking forward to your attending the next annual meeting as the time when even greater things may be born. We will rejoice together and pray together for God’s best.

Cordially yours,
R. A. Forrest
