This video begins with a cow being milked. In October 1940 Dr. Forrest listed several needs of the college, including the need for a new barn because the old one was not adequate. The college had a large herd of Guernsey cattle but the Health Department said it would have to be replaced. At the time, the students were drinking over eighty gallons of milk a day!

The video begins with people getting into two cars. Then there is a parade of people, before a group poses for the camera. Near the end, Alice and Kelly Barnes are laughing and talking as the camera rolls.

Notice how nicely everyone walks, two by two. Wonder where they are all going?

Most of us do not remember what it was like to have Barbecue served on the old ball field, which is where Forrest Hall is now located. But thanks to Sharon Sanderson director of alumni relations and her team, today’s alumni know how much fun it is to have barbecue served on the common area in the center of campus! The atmosphere is wonderful. Older alumni will remember what it was like to hear Dr. Forrest and Kelly Barnes calling everyone together for prayer and then to line up to eat. This short film shows what Homecoming was like at TFC when these two men were alive.

This is the final part of the video that Dr. Forrest filmed in 1930 during his and Evelyn’s trip around the world. Shortly after the film opens, you will see the Jordan River and then the walls of Jerusalem along with the Wailing Wall and Jacob’s Well. Joseph’s tomb is recognizable because it has a white dome on top. Finally, the Forrests stop at the Sea of Galilee and also walk through the ruins of Capernaum.

This is a partial video that Dr. Forrest filmed in 1930 during his and Evelyn’s trip around the world. It opens with him and Evelyn disembarking their ship. A moment later, they are on a train speeding through Palestine on their way to Jerusalem. Admittedly, the video is old and a little jumpy at times, but stick with it because it smoothes out. Halfway through, you will see Mrs. Forrest step through a doorway and walk out into the sunlight of the old city of Jerusalem. A few scenes later, Dr. Forrest is photographed while walking through ancient ruins of a temple. Then they both are on camels near the bases of the great pyramids in Egypt. We hope that you will enjoy seeing this priceless treasure from the past.
